Apprenticeships: a genuine pathway out of school — and why the electrical trade is a great one
University isn’t the only road. An electrical apprenticeship builds skills, character and a real career in a region that actually needs trades.
Northern Victoria does not have a shortage of opinions about young people. It has a shortage of licensed electricians who want to stay. An apprenticeship is not a consolation prize for missing a city campus. It is a paid education with a trade that still has pricing power in ten years.
Solar and whole-home energy made that pathway wider. The work is mixed: roofs, boards, batteries, heat pumps, farm three-phase, commissioning, conversation with a householder who wants to understand their bill. You finish a week knowing you built something that runs.
